The Books

You feel him watching you. You know you’ve got one chance. One chance before you die.

A midnight rendevous. An irresistible temptation. He knew she was a mistake. He was right.

When your brother says he’s got your back, look out for a sharpened knife.

Brilliant

I’ve literally just finished reading this book. It was BRILLIANT.

A genuine page turner

A great read that grips from beginning to end. A well laid out plot with a nice twist at the end and believable characters with all their flaws. Roll on the next Morgan investigation!

A pacey read

A first book from a new author. What a revelation! There are very few books I can genuinely say I had to keep reading and turning pages to find out what happens next. This book joins that discrete list. Great characterisation surrounds a strong plot. Can’t wait to read the on line prequel and the next DI Nick Morgan novel.

You will be captivated by this story and its characters...

Reading this book was like watching the best crime thriller series on TV, but more satisfying. The characters are instantly relatable, the storyline intriguing and the setting absolutely believable. Read this book or you’ll be sorry !

Great read

Really enjoyed watching Nick Morgan solve these murders while his family life started to disintegrate. What an evil mother in law!
Can’t wait to found out how he copes with her interference in the next book, hope it’s not too far away!

Keen to read the next book by this author!

Good twists and turns to plot. Liked the characters. Kept me busy reading it from end to end without stopping.

Fantastic book

It was such an exciting story with a great setting as with Make You Sorry. I had to ration myself with how much I read at a time otherwise I would have finished it in 2 days! I did not want it to finish because it was so good but I also had to get to the end.

It gets better…or perhaps worse if you are DI Nick Morgan

Having read Make You Sorry I eagerly awaited Make You Beg and to learn of the developments in the life and career of DI Nick Morgan…and how his mother in law Dorothy Cooper would actively meddle with both. I wasn’t disappointed. As a pick up and put down reader grabbing a few minutes reading here and there when I can, I like Christine Rae-Jones’s use of short punchy chapters. I am now eagerly awaiting the next instalments in the life and career of DI Nick Morgan and his nemesis Dorothy Cooper.

A great second novel

Are you sitting comfortably? You might not be by the time you’ve finished the second instalment of the DI Nick Morgan series. Great escapism and an easy to read page turner that’s well worth buying just to discover what happens in the not so sleepy town of Gullhaven.

Difficult to put down

A great follow-up to Make You Sorry. As with all good books, some characters you warm to and others you definitely don’t! Twists and turns all the way through; set up very nicely for the next book Make You Choose, which I am very much looking forward to.
