After an anonymous tip off, Charles Arthur, head of a local crime dynasty is arrested in possession of drugs he claims to know nothing about. Hours earlier, the body of his friend and business associate is found. One of his fingertips is missing, and the severed fingertip in his pocket is not his. Coincidence, or something darker?

As DI Nick Morgan leads investigations into the Arthur family’s activities, he fears that their web of crime has trapped both his lover and his son.
